Sony recently released its latest quarterly report and in it we find out how sales of the Playstation 5 are going. They let us know that the figure is now 17.3 million units shipped since its release. The latest figures we received before this, were in October and by then Sony had shipped 13.3 million units. Thanks to knowledge of basic mathematics, we can then deduce that 4 million copies have been sold since then.

The situation is therefore good on the sales front, but Sony is still not very happy. Due to the lack of components, the forecast for the coming quarters has been lowered. By the end of March, Sony had expected to push out 22.6 million units, but the figure has now been lowered to 19.3 million.
