Sony has recently taken clear steps towards an investment in smartphones, and a newly discovered patent also seems to point in that direction. It is a hand control solution similar to the Razer Kishi, ie basically two Dual Shock-like handles that are to be connected to your smartphone and turn it into a portable gaming device.

As usual with patents, we do not know if it will end up as a real product, but it shows in any case that Sony has not yet given up its smartphone investments.
