Developers From Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard And Sega Starts New Studio
Former employees from the industry giants Ubisoft, Activision Blizzard and Sega have opened the gates to New Tales, a completely new studio and there are certainly no beginners who will now try to enter the market. With over 20 years of experience on average in the backpack, they have previously worked in leading positions and been involved in creating some of the most popular game series from each developer.
Some of the titles that the newly founded studio has under its belt are World of Warcraft, Jedi Knight, Half-Life, Counterstrike, Hearthstone, EverQuest, Call of Duty, Sonic the Hedgehog, Diablo, Crash Bandicoot and Overwatch.
The office is located in Paris and the CEO and President of New Tales will be Cédric Maréchal, former International Senior Vice President of Activision Blizzard and with over 30 years of experience in the industry.
“We have formed a team of passionate gamers with an unrivalled degree of experience, having grown some of the biggest IPs and player communities. Gaming has rarely seen such an exciting time, fuelled by tons of innovation and creativity. However, the frequency of new releases keeps rising rapidly, reinforcing the need for great international publishing.
“New Tales is a one-stop-shop publishing solution where we’re going to work with developers, as one united team, dedicated to maximising success. We are also building our internal production capabilities to develop our own games and IPs. We are looking forward to joining forces with people who share our values and passion!”
