There have long been rumors that Apple has some form of headset underway that supports augmented reality (AR). Now Bloomberg reporter Mark Gurman, via his newsletter PowerON, has reported that he has heard from his sources that this headset will be released in 2022 and that the focus of the headset, at least initially, will be on gaming. In addition to games, it will of course also be able to be used to play different types of media and be able to run communication apps such as Facetime.

He also writes that the headset will have a very high image resolution and in order for it to handle that, the headset will have two processors and a fan(!). Exactly which processors it will have, however, he does not mention.
