A few weeks ago, OnePlus and McLaren started to tease that they are no longer best friends. Observant fans discovered that OnePlus was removed from McLaren’s website, but neither OnePlus nor McLaren commented on the issue. Now, Android Authority has received some official answers from McLaren that in short that the planned collaboration is now over.

“Our partnership with OnePlus, which came to its scheduled conclusion recently, has been a highly successful collaboration between two iconic and innovative brands. Since the start of this partnership in 2018, OnePlus has been a supportive, valued partner and we wish them well and hope to see them in the future. ”

The result of the collaboration from OnePlus side was that the company released McLaren versions of OnePlus 6T and 7T with slightly more powerful specs than their siblings. The duo also unveiled the concept phone Concept One earlier this year during the CES fair and it has been speculated whether the unit will be available to the public, but when the collaboration between the companies is over, it does not look so bright on that front.
