Now on Wednesday, June 3, it was intended that Google would present Android 11, but on Saturday the company announced that the presentation is now postponed.

It is because of the riots that occurred in the US after an unarmed black man was killed by Minneapolis police that Google chose to suspend the presentation of Android 11. Google writes on Twitter about the now suspended presentation:

“We are excited to tell you more about Android 11, but now is not the time to celebrate. We are postponing the June 3rd event and beta release. We’ll be back with more on Android 11, soon.”
