LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight Finally Gets a Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date
Nintendo Switch 2 owners won’t have to wait much longer to suit up as Gotham’s Dark Knight. Warner Bros. Games and TT Games have officially confirmed that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight will launch for Nintendo Switch 2 this September, bringing one of this year’s most celebrated LEGO adventures to Nintendo’s newest platform.
The game debuted earlier on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, quickly earning praise for its fresh take on the LEGO formula. Rather than relying on an enormous roster of playable characters, the developers chose to focus on a more refined Batman-centric experience, allowing each hero and villain to feel more distinct through unique abilities, gadgets, and combat styles.
Players can explore a sprawling version of Gotham City packed with secrets, side missions, and iconic locations from across Batman’s history. The game also introduces deeper customization options for the Batcave, giving fans more ways to personalize their headquarters and unlock new content as they progress.
The Switch 2 release will be available physically, although it will utilize Nintendo’s Game Key Card format. This means the cartridge acts as a license key, with players needing to download the game before jumping into the action.
Following strong reviews and enthusiastic fan reception on other platforms, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight looks set to become another major addition to the growing Nintendo Switch 2 library when it arrives this fall.
