Leaked Nvidia Info Hints About Nintendo Switch Pro
After many rumors, Nintendo last year released a new variant of its Switch console. However, this was not the powerful Switch Pro that was so much sought after. The only difference was that it had an OLED panel that was also slightly larger than the LCD screen on the original version. Many were disappointed, but now it seems that Nintendo still has plans to release a more powerful Switch Pro.
Recently, Nvidia had data intrusion and from the data that was scraped from the graphics giant’s servers, a new graphics API is mentioned that can be used in Nintendo’s PRO console. More specifically, NVN2 is mentioned and since the graphics API for Switch went under the name NVN, NVN2 is assumed to be a direct sequel to this. What Nvidia can do with this is unclear, but references to both ray-tracing and DLSS are found.
Anyway. We’ll see if Nintendo has plans to release a Switch Pro, or a Switch 2. Launching a Pro version a year after a new refreshed version feels a little strange, but Nintendo is Nintendo.
