If you’ve been hoping for Nintendo to one day return to the Nintendo 3DS platform, we have something that might pique your interest. A Japanese company, Tassei, has indeed created its own version of the 3DS platform, complete with some welcome and rather impressive improvements.

Tassei has taken the 3DS platform and replaced its original screen with a six-inch 1080p AMOLED panel capable of running at up to 90Hz, all powered by a Ryzen processor. This was showcased at the Tokyo Game Show, but unfortunately, the device is only designed for testing and display purposes and is not intended for actual gameplay or sale as a consumer product.

It’s worth noting that this device is not approved by Nintendo, so don’t expect any new Nintendo 3DS announcements in the near future.
