FIFA and EA Part Ways After Almost 30 Years: FIFA to Publish Its Own Game
After nearly 30 years together, FIFA and EA are parting ways, marking the end of an era. For the first time ever, FIFA will publish its next major football game on its own. EA’s upcoming release will be “Sports FC” in July. However, FIFA President Gianni Infantino is not afraid of competition from the veterans and firmly believes that their FIFA game will become the new standard in football games. In an interview with The Times, he said:
“The new FIFA game – FIFA 25, 26, 27, and so on – will always be the best e-game for any girl or boy. We will have news on this very soon.”
This is consistent with what Infantino said last year:
“The FIFA name is the only global, original title. FIFA 23, FIFA 24, FIFA 25, and FIFA 26, and so on – the constant is the FIFA name, and it will remain forever and remain THE BEST.”
In other words, Infantino is very confident, but it is still unclear whether FIFA’s own game will be released this year or in 2024.
