Nintendo has surprised its fans by adding four classic games to the Nintendo Switch Online library, without prior notice. These include Kirby’s Dream Land 2 and BurgerTime Deluxe for Game Boy, as well as Xevious for NES and Side Pocket for Super NES.

While the Switch Online library has already been praised for its extensive collection of NES and Super NES titles, there are still some gaps in the collection. These recent additions have helped fill some of those gaps and provide even more entertainment options for gamers.

Kirby’s Dream Land 2 is a beloved title in the Kirby franchise and is considered a classic among Game Boy games. It features Kirby, the pink, fluffy character, and his friends as they set out to save Dream Land from evil forces. BurgerTime Deluxe, on the other hand, is a classic arcade game where players control a chef trying to make burgers while avoiding food enemies.

Xevious, a vertical scrolling shooter game, was first released in 1982 and is considered a classic in the gaming industry. The game has players control a spacecraft as they fight off enemy forces. Side Pocket, a billiards game, was released for Super NES in 1993 and features realistic physics and multiple game modes.

These recent additions are part of Nintendo’s ongoing efforts to expand its Switch Online library and provide gamers with even more classic titles to enjoy. With more surprises likely in the future, fans are eagerly anticipating what Nintendo will bring to the Switch Online library next.
