Simply Mad Studios has given us a first look at the upcoming car game Project CARS 3 and the first trailer you can see down below. The trailer shows a bit of razor-sharpness, but the developers announce that the game also comes with improved AI, reversed career status and PC players will be able to take advantage of VR support as well as play in 12K resolution.

The trailer in question has created some controversy. With Codemaster’s acquisition of Simply Mad Studios, it has been speculated that the Project CARS series would be more arcade than before and in the trailer you can see that the cars are not damaged in a realistic way. However, realistic damage models will be in the game and to put the fire out slightly, Simply Mad Studios boss Ian Bell has announced via Twitter that the game will have realistic physics.

Project CARS 3 is expected to be released this summer for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. What it looks like with the release of next gen consoles is unclear, but it would be a bit strange if it doesn’t.
