Game Freak, the studio behind the Pokémon games in the main series, is working on Pokémon Legends Arceus. It seems that we finally get a really open pocket monster role-playing game in almost a The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild-like style.

We get to explore three-dimensional environments in a much older version of the Sinnoh region and try to capture pocket monsters in real time without getting into special battles. The latter, however, still seems to be turn-based and locked to fixed locations, so we’ll see how different this game will be when it’s released to Switch in early 2022.
