We weren’t the only ones disappointed when Tarsier Studios was acquired by Embracer Group in 2021, with the latter confirming that Bandai Namco owned the intellectual property rights to Little Nightmares. This made it sound like we wouldn’t get to experience more chilling adventures, at least not from the Swedish studio. However, earlier this year, a job listing confirmed that a third main installment was in development, and this hope has now transformed into excitement.

Indeed, Little Nightmares 3 was officially confirmed for PC, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series, and Switch during tonight’s Gamescom Opening Night Live show. This time around, it’s being developed by Supermassive Games, the creators of Until Dawn and The Dark Pictures games, and the British studio will finally allow us to explore this universe with a friend thanks to co-op gameplay.
