Instagram has announced that next year they will again start showing posts in the user’s instagram feed chronologically – again.

It was in 2016 that Instagram removed the chronological sorting of the feed, something that annoyed a lot of users. Instead, Instagram began to use so-called “smart” sorting of posts, where Instagram’s algorithms themselves tried to calculate which posts the user was probably most interested in.

When Instagram reintroduces chronological sorting next year, users will be able to choose whether the sorting should take place chronologically or whether the flow should continue to use “smart” sorting.

I know what I will choose anyway …
