Machine Games and Todd Howard’s highly anticipated game featuring our beloved professor Indiana Jones in the lead role has finally been unveiled for the first time in a fresh trailer during the evening’s Xbox Developer Direct.

A proud assembly of developers from the Uppsala-based Machine Games shared details about the game, now officially confirmed as “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle.” The adventure takes us back to the year 1937, situated between the films “Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom” and “Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade,” where Indy, as usual, contends with malevolent forces in the pursuit of an ancient power.

Diverging from titles like Uncharted and Tomb Raider, “Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” primarily adopts a first-person perspective, with the archaeologist’s iconic whip playing a significant role. The whip is utilized for disarming, distracting, and attacking enemies, as well as navigating various challenging environments. Throughout the game, players will explore open areas and navigate through tighter segments with a stronger emphasis on storytelling. In Indiana’s shoes, gamers can anticipate a delightful mix of classic hand-to-hand combat, complemented by occasional firearm use, stealth, and puzzles.

“Indiana Jones and the Great Circle” is set to be released in 2024 for PC and Xbox Series S/X.
