It didn’t seem like Sony was going to show the Playstation 5 console itself in last nights event, but it happened!

Playstation 5 is a futuristically designed game console in white and black, just like the controller. Two variants are released – one with optical reader for discs, the other a completely digital variant for download and streaming. It is not known how big the price difference between the variants will be.

Both variants of the Playstation 5 can be positioned vertically or horizontally, just like the upcoming Xbox Series X. The gaming console has a special footing that allows the device to stand firmly no matter what position it has. The size of the foot differs slightly between the regular Playstation 5 and the Digital Edition variant.

At the same time with the Playstation 5, a number of accessories are released. Among other things, a charging station for two hand controls, a wireless gaming headset called Pulse 3D and a new media control. There is also an optional HD camera.

Sony has not revealed price information for either the Playstation 5 or its accessories. We also don’t know an exact launch date yet.
