The new AirPods Max has a very annoying bug that sometimes happens when switching between the ANC and transparent mode. Only one of the cups gets ANC while the other stays in transparency mode. I have gotten this bug on my AirPods Max as well and had to contact the Apple Care support to help – and fear not, because it is very easy to resolve.

You just need to reset or reboot your AirPods Max by simply press and hold the noise control button and the Digital Crown until the LED flashes amber.
