Variety reports that there is another Star Wars spinoff in progress for Disney+ and it is said to focus on women in the lead roles.

Not only will the cast be dominated by women, but the entire project will be led by Lesley Headland, the director and screenwriter who created the TV series Russian Doll that airs on Netflix.

This means that Star Wars fans have another reason to subscribe to Disney+. In addition to the upcoming Star Wars series from Headland, The Mandalorian and Clone Wars are already on the service. There will also be a TV series based on the life and life of Rouge One hero Cassian Andor, which we wrote about a little earlier.
