Alarm clocks are probably something that not too many people buy anymore as most people use their mobile phones nowadays. Maybe that’s why Hodinkee has developed a watch that they do not have to sell too many of to get some dough.

This goatskin covered alarm clock uses a new font from Jonathan Hoefler called Decimal. With the help of a small silver key, you spin the clock’s mechanics and a full spin drives the watch for eight days.

The price tag is around SEK 53,000 ($ 5,000), which I think is a bit expensive for an alarm clock. But people who have money to spend may feel that it is perfectly reasonable to pay this amount so they can wake up on time so as not to miss the flight.
