Now it has been decided that it will be a sequel to the shark movie The Meg from 2018, the movie where we got to see Jason Statham lazing around with a Megalodon, the giant shark species that actually became extinct 3-4 million years ago.

The Meg was directed by Jon Turtletaub but he will not direct the sequel. Instead, it will be Ben Wheatley who will direct Statham and the other actors in the sequel. He has previously made Rebecca and also directs the Tomb Raider 2 reboot which is supposed to appear next year.

When we can see the sequel to The Meg, which is currently titled Meg 2: The Trench, there is so far no information about.
