Elon Musk’s The Boring Company and Las Vegas Convention Center announced at the end of last week that the first of the two tunnels intended to transport people under Las Vegas’ huge trade show area is finished.

It’s a tunnel system that will be about 1.3 kilometers long and is dug a little over twelve meters underground. The idea is that vehicles in the tunnels should be able to transport visitors to Las Vegas’s countless exhibitions between the various exhibition halls in the approximately 300,000 square meter exhibition area. Visitors will initially be transported in electric Tesla cars and it is said that the capacity will be 4400 passengers per hour.

The two tunnels in the tunnel system, as well as the infrastructure, stations and more, will have cost around $ 52.5 million, when completed.
