The latest in the series of never-ending Harry Potter films has received mixed reviews and is going pretty badly in cinemas. Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore is crammed with luxurious special effects and star shine, but it’s clear that fans do not seem particularly interested in the tale of Grindelwald and his war against the Muggles. At least not in the way the Fantastic Beasts movies chose to portray it.

Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore has been plagued by several delays during the pandemic and finally premiered in mid-April after Depp was replaced by Mads Mikkelsen in the role of the film’s main antagonist Grindelwald. Unfortunately, it was also the absolute weakest premiere ever for a Harry Potter film and after the first weekend, the film fell by almost 67% on the charts around the world.
