The Last of Us Part II (of course) divided people into two camps. Those who loved it and those who “hated” (or at least didnt like) it. Maybe you belong to the few percent who own a Playstation 4 but have not yet played Naughty Dog’s latest masterpiece (I loved the game btw).

But whether you have played it or not, if you’re at all into gaming then you can’t fail to have noticed the buzz around The Last of Us Part II – perhaps the defining video game of this current generation of consoles. And a game that attracts so much attention, of course also brings with themed gadgets and accessories. For example, if you need a themed game drive to go along with the game, then Seagate has you covered.

Seagate Limited Edition “The Last of Us Part II” Portable Hard Drive. What it is, essentially, is a fairly standard Seagate external hard drive for the PS4, but with a beautiful motif etched into the front that resembles Ellie’s distinctive tattoo from the game. Oh, and it has the game’s title emblazoned across the front in a slightly less subtle way, too.

Characteristically sleek and compact, it’s a stunning little device that won’t look out of place in any set-up. Besides the design of this limited edition drive, the big selling point here is the 2TB of storage space it gives you, which will be comfortably more than (and quite possibly double) the amount of space that came with your PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 4 Pro.

The drive also have some nifty transfer speeds, which make moving your data from one PS4 to another quick and simple. It comes with its own short USB cable and all you need do is plug it straight into one of the USB ports on the PS4 and you’re good to go. There’s no software to install or updates to run, and you can set it as your default download location in the PS4’s storage settings.

The only downside is the price, which is around $15 USD (around 200 SEK) more than a standard Seagate 2TB drive, when all you’re really getting is the branding. You could probably decal a standard one for less. That said, if you’re a huge fan of The Last of Us and you’re in the market for more storage space, then you can’t go far wrong with Seagate’s beautiful little device.

However, I would like to point out that these were the prices when the hard drive was sold in stores. Now you probably have to look for a scalper on Ebay that takes $ 50-100 USD more.

Final verdict
Obviously since the standard game drive from Seagate is available for less cash, this is only going to appeal to people who are loyal fans of the Naughty Dog game franchise. If you fit that description then I think it’s a fitting way of advertising your affection for the game – and it looks great (even greater when paired with the TLOU2-themed PlayStation 4 console).

Besides the design of the drive, everything is as you would expect from a Seagate drive: the drive is quick and reliable and quiet, the cost is reasonable, and setup is almost instant. A recommended upgrade for TLOU2 fans who are running out of room on their PlayStation 4s.
