PewDiePie starts game streaming on YouTube – Leaves DLive
Swedish Youtube profile Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg has signed a contract with YouTube which means he will start streaming games exclusively for Google’s video site in the future.
This means that PewDiePie will now stop streaming games for the blockchain-based service DLive, which he has done over the past year. In a statement, Kjellberg says:
“YouTube has been my home for over a decade now and live streaming on the platform feels like a natural fit as I continue to look for new ways to create content and interact with fans worldwide. Live streaming is something I’m focusing a lot on on 2020 and beyond, so being able to partner with YouTube and being at the forefront of new product features is special and exciting for the future. “
YouTube has invested a lot in connecting famous gamers to it and PewDiePie is the latest in that line. In the past, YouTube has also contracted game streamers such as CouRage, Typical Game and Valkyrae to their service.
