ASUS announces Ascent QN10 mini PC with Snapdragon X2 Elite

ASUS has announced the Ascent QN10, an ultracompact mini PC powered by Qualcomm's Snapdragon X2 Elite platform. The system is targeted at creators, developers, and enterprise environments requiring local AI processing and edge computing capabilities.

According to the manufacturer, the Ascent QN10 is the first AI mini PC to incorporate an 80 TOPS neural processing unit (NPU), exceeding standard Microsoft Copilot+ PC requirements.

Hardware specifications

The Ascent QN10 is housed in a chassis measuring under 0.7 litres, which ASUS states is 86 per cent smaller than standard five-litre desktop systems. The company also claims the integrated Qualcomm Adreno GPU offers 2.3 times faster performance compared to the previous generation.

AI software and enterprise security

The system is built to handle local large language model (LLM) inferencing and hybrid AI workflows. Developers can access the Qualcomm AI Hub, which offers over 175 pre-optimized models alongside support for custom data and model deployments. ASUS notes that the device supports agentic AI frameworks such as OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.

On the security side, the Ascent QN10 integrates hardware-rooted credential protection via fTPM 2.0 alongside a built-in Microsoft Pluton security processor designed to safeguard hardware, firmware, and operating system layers.
