According to recent reports, a remake of the popular video game Metal Gear Solid 3 is currently under development. This rumor has been circulating for quite some time, and just a few weeks ago, the editor-in-chief of VGC claimed to have inside information that the game was set to be released next year, nearly twenty years after the original was first launched. Yesterday, further evidence emerged that something is indeed in the works at Konami.

Donna Burke, a voice actor and singer who has previously worked on Metal Gear Solid V, posted a very suggestive image on Twitter. The tagline read “Recording in process,” and the picture featured not only Burke herself but also some kind of booklet with a picture of a cat with an eyepatch and the words “Snake Eater.” These clues have only added fuel to the rumors that a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake is in the works.

Donna Burke also posted other images on social media, and an eagle-eyed fan quickly noticed that one of the pictures showcased the lyrics to the theme song of Metal Gear Solid 3. Since none of the images have been taken down by Konami, this could be seen as an (unofficial) announcement of the game’s development.
