Warner Bros. Games has officially opened digital pre-orders for Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch 2, set to launch alongside the new console on June 5, 2025. Accompanying this announcement is a new gameplay trailer that highlights the game’s significant enhancements on the upgraded hardware.

The Switch 2 version of Hogwarts Legacy boasts a substantial visual upgrade over its predecessor. Players can expect resolutions up to 1440p in docked mode and 1080p in handheld mode, both supporting HDR. The integration of NVIDIA’s DLSS technology ensures smoother frame rates and improved graphical fidelity, including enhanced lighting, shadows, and anti-aliasing. Notably, the open-world experience is now seamless, eliminating the loading screens that were present in the original Switch version, allowing for uninterrupted exploration of the wizarding world.

For those who already own Hogwarts Legacy on the original Nintendo Switch, an upgrade to the Switch 2 version is available for a fee of €10. This upgrade provides access to the enhanced features and performance improvements of the new version.

Pre-orders are available for both the Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe Editions, with the latter including additional in-game content such as the Thestral Mount and Dark Arts Pack. Physical editions can be pre-ordered through select retailers.

With its enhanced visuals and performance, Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch 2 offers an immersive experience for fans eager to delve into the magical world like never before.
