Earlier this year, developer Dambuster Studios proudly revealed the fantastic commercial success of Dead Island 2 and wasted no time announcing upcoming expansions. Not long after, we learned that the first expansion was slated for release in the final quarter of this year, and now, we have an exact date.

The “Haus” expansion is set to make its debut on November 2nd, allowing players to explore a mysterious villa in Malibu, where the previously introduced techno-death cult has chosen to entrench itself. With a new location comes new ways to battle the undead, as three new weapons are introduced, each described in the press release as follows:

  • Dead Islands: To take the weight off your shoulders while you smash undead enemies into oblivion.
  • Hog Roaster: The ultimate ticket to visceral slaying while you simultaneously butcher and barbecue zombies.
  • K-ROSSBOW: Crafted for precision and lethality, this weapon allows you to unleash devastating long-range firepower and explode zombified brains with ease.

In addition to these weapons, the expansion also includes eight new skill cards making it clear that revisiting Dead Island 2 at the end of the year is a promising prospect. Fans can mark November 2nd on their calendars for the highly anticipated “Haus” expansion release.
