Activision Blizzard Inc. has been sued by the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing because the workplace has a ‘Frat Boy’ corporate culture where female employees are exposed to unwelcome sexual invitations, are discriminated against and have lower chances of being promoted.

The lawsuit does not come from nowhere as the authority has been investigating Activision Blizzard for a long time with the majority of testimonies. In the atmosphere you can read that the workplace was like working for a student association where the men drank alcohol during working hours and harassed the female employees. The men who are accused are said to have come drunk to work and played video games while the women had to take care of their chores. The bosses are also said to have openly discussed their intercourse and joked about rape. There is also a testimony about a female employee who committed suicide after some of her male colleagues shared photos of her that revealed that she had a sexual relationship with one of her bosses.

Activision Blizzard, however, denies all allegations and says that they have an inclusive corporate culture that values diversity and where there is no room for sexual harassment. They also believe that the lawsuit contains many inaccuracies and hasty conclusions.

It remains to be seen who is right.
