2023 Oscars: A Complete List of the Night’s Big Winners
Ruben Östlund and Ludwig Göransson missed out on an Oscar win for Sweden at last night’s Oscars ceremony, and several highly anticipated films such as The Fablemans and The Banshees of Inisherin went home empty-handed. This is simply how it goes when competing against a fantastically twisted dramedy that transcends both boundaries and genres, as Everything Everywhere All at Once was the big winner of the night, taking home a total of seven Oscars, including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, and several acting awards. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both received their well-deserved first Oscars, while Brendan Fraser won Best Actor for his emotional performance in The Whale. The German film All Quiet on the Western Front settled for awards in Best Foreign Film and Best Music.
