Ruben Östlund and Ludwig Göransson missed out on an Oscar win for Sweden at last night’s Oscars ceremony, and several highly anticipated films such as The Fablemans and The Banshees of Inisherin went home empty-handed. Michelle Yeoh and Ke Huy Quan both received their well-deserved first Oscars, while Brendan Fraser won Best Actor for his emotional performance in The Whale. The German film All Quiet on the Western Front settled for awards in Best Foreign Film and Best Music.
