Apple has unveiled Submerged, a new immersive video experience exclusively designed for the Apple Vision Pro headset. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Edward Berger (All Quiet on the Western Front), this 17-minute short film immerses viewers in the intense and claustrophobic setting of a World War II submarine. Using Vision Pro’s advanced visual and spatial audio capabilities, Submerged offers a unique storytelling experience where the viewer can feel the tension of a submarine crew struggling for survival under attack.

The film showcases the potential of the Vision Pro, utilizing its 180-degree field of view to create an interactive, fully immersive experience. Viewers are able to look around the confined space of the submarine and experience the film from different perspectives, something only possible with the Vision Pro headset. The exclusive release demonstrates how Apple is pushing the boundaries of immersive media through its hardware.

For now, Submerged is available only to Vision Pro owners, giving them a taste of the device’s potential as a platform for immersive, cinematic storytelling.
