Pokémon fans now have a brand-new destination to add to their bucket list. PokéPark Kanto has officially opened in Tokyo, offering an immersive real-world experience inspired by the iconic Kanto region from the classic Pokémon games.

Located within the Yomiuriland amusement park in the Tama Hills area, PokéPark Kanto spans roughly 26,000 square meters and blends nature, nostalgia, and interactive design. The park is built as a permanent attraction, designed to let visitors explore the Pokémon universe beyond screens and consoles.

One of the park’s main highlights is the Pokémon Forest, a winding trail stretching about 500 meters through lush greenery. Along the path, visitors can encounter hundreds of life-sized Pokémon figures, carefully placed to feel like natural discoveries rather than staged exhibits. From tiny creatures hiding in the bushes to massive fan-favorites standing tall among the trees, the forest encourages exploration and rewards curious trainers.

Beyond the forest lies Sedge Town, a themed village inspired by the towns players have visited throughout Pokémon history. Here, guests can shop for exclusive merchandise, enjoy Pokémon-themed food and drinks, and take part in live entertainment. The town also features family-friendly attractions and rides designed to appeal to both younger visitors and long-time fans.

Due to overwhelming interest, tickets are being distributed through a controlled system, with limited availability and high demand. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, as entry slots are expected to sell out quickly, especially during peak travel seasons.

PokéPark Kanto represents a major step for the Pokémon franchise, transforming decades of digital adventures into a physical space that fans can explore together.
