It has now been 20 years since Expedition 1 arrived at the International Space Station ISS, which began an era when humans have constantly lived in space.

Since November 2, 2000, around 250 people from 19 countries have visited the ISS while conducting over 2,800 experiments with scientists from over one hundred countries involved on board the space station. At the moment, Expedition 64 and three of its crew members are on board the ISS. Already this month, four more new crew members are expected to arrive at the space station.
