At The Game Awards 2024, Naughty Dog announced their latest project, Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a retro-futuristic space adventure set thousands of years in the future. Directed by Neil Druckmann, the game follows Jordan A. Mun, a skilled bounty hunter stranded on the isolated planet Sempiria, which has been cut off from the universe for centuries. Jordan’s goal is to become the first person in over 600 years to leave the planet’s orbit.

The game’s aesthetic draws inspiration from classics like Cowboy Bebop and Dirty Pair, featuring a semi-open world design. Tati Gabrielle, known for her role in Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, voices the protagonist. The soundtrack is composed by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross. Currently, there is no official release date, but the game is confirmed as a PlayStation 5 exclusive.

This marks Naughty Dog’s first new intellectual property in over a decade, signaling a significant expansion of their creative portfolio. Fans can look forward to a unique blend of action and storytelling in this new universe.
