Lego Unveils Its Largest Pirate Ship Yet: The Black Pearl Sets Sail in September 2025
Lego is charting bold new waters with its most ambitious pirate ship release to date. The new Icons set, officially titled Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship—but affectionately known as The Black Pearl—marks the company’s triumphant return to the Pirates of the Caribbean universe after nearly a decade.
With a massive 2,862 pieces, this is the largest Pirates of the Caribbean-themed set Lego has ever released, dwarfing past entries like the 2011 Black Pearl and 2017’s Silent Mary. It’s a build designed to impress, both in complexity and scale.
The set includes eight detailed minifigures, featuring iconic characters such as Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Captain Barbossa, and several members of the original crew. The ship itself is packed with interactive features—rotating cannons, a working rudder, and a deck that opens to reveal an intricately furnished captain’s cabin. Extras like a detachable rowboat, dual display stands, and a figurehead that doubles as a separate minifigure round out the build.
Lego Insiders will get early access starting September 12, while the general public can purchase the set from September 15. The price is set at $380, and fans who buy early will also receive a bonus compass-themed mini-build as a gift with purchase.
This release is a true celebration of Lego craftsmanship and Disney nostalgia, offering fans a chance to own a stunning centerpiece from the golden age of pirate adventures.
