It looks like Insomniac Games may already be swinging back into action with a brand-new Marvel’s Spider-Man project—and the hint didn’t come from an official announcement.

The spark came from Ben Jordan, the face model behind Peter Parker in the PlayStation-exclusive series. In a now-deleted Instagram story, Jordan shared an image of himself seemingly undergoing facial capture, complete with the iconic web-shooting hand gesture. Paired with a cryptic caption and a spider emoji, the post quickly caught the attention of fans and quickly spread across the internet.

While nothing has been officially confirmed by Insomniac or Sony, the implications are hard to ignore. Facial scanning is typically part of early production stages, suggesting that the next Spider-Man game could already be in development—potentially Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.

This wouldn’t come as a surprise. The Spider-Man series has become one of PlayStation’s biggest success stories, with massive sales and a strong fanbase. Combined with the story threads left open in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, a continuation has long felt inevitable.

At the same time, Insomniac is currently focused on Marvel’s Wolverine, which is expected to launch in 2026. That likely means any new Spider-Man title is still early in development and won’t arrive anytime soon.

For now, it’s all speculation—but it’s the kind that fans will definitely want to keep an eye on.
