HP Merges OMEN and HyperX Under One Unified Gaming Brand
At CES 2026, HP announced a major rebrand of its gaming division, combining the OMEN and HyperX labels under a single identity: HyperX. This move marks a strategic effort to streamline HP’s gaming portfolio and deliver a more cohesive experience across hardware, peripherals, and software.
The unified HyperX brand will now serve as HP’s flagship for everything gaming-related — from high-performance laptops and monitors to cutting-edge accessories. Among the headline reveals was the HyperX OMEN Transcend 14, a lightweight 14-inch gaming laptop featuring Intel Core Ultra processors, a dedicated NPU for AI-powered tasks, and a built-in OLED display, all housed in an ultra-portable magnesium chassis.
Also revealed was the HyperX OMEN Transcend 32, a Mini-LED monitor offering blazing-fast refresh rates and crystal-clear 4K visuals. Gamers looking for a larger display were introduced to the HyperX OMEN 34c, a curved ultrawide designed for immersive gameplay.
On the accessory front, HP unveiled the HyperX Cloud Mini headset for younger gamers, a new HyperX Pulsefire mouse, and an Xbox-licensed HyperX Clutch Tanto controller tailored for competitive play. Perhaps the most futuristic reveal came in the form of a prototype EEG headset built in collaboration with Neurable, designed to track brain activity and enhance focus during gameplay.
With this rebranding, HP aims to position HyperX not just as a peripheral maker but as a complete gaming ecosystem — one that integrates performance, personalization, and innovation under one name.
