Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition Receives Significant Update
Rockstar Games has released a substantial update for Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition, enhancing the remastered versions of Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City, and San Andreas. This update introduces several visual improvements, including “Classic Lighting” effects tailored to different cities and weather conditions in San Andreas. Additionally, new fire and glass-breaking effects, improved street lighting, and enhanced swimming visuals have been implemented. The update also addresses in-game rain issues that were present since the 2021 release.
These changes integrate updates from the mobile versions released through Netflix, which improved water visuals, fog, draw distance, character models, textures, and collision. Players on PlayStation 5, Windows PC, and Xbox Series X/S can now enjoy these enhancements, while the Nintendo Switch version remains unaffected.
This update reflects Rockstar’s commitment to improving the gaming experience for fans of the classic trilogy.
