Foxconn is said to have made prototypes for “folding iPhone”
The Taiwanese news site United Daily News has been in contact with sources who state that Apple has asked its subcontractor Foxconn to develop chassis prototypes for foldable phones.
According to the information, these will be two different types of folding phones that Apple wants to see in prototype design. Partly a model with a foldable screen that is said to resemble Samsung’s Galaxy Z Flip, partly a model with two separate screens that will more closely mimic Microsoft’s Surface Duo phone, see pictures below.
According to United Daily News sources, a foldable iPhone that will appear on the market at the earliest sometime in 2022.
