The next chapter in the Football Manager franchise is officially set to begin on November 4, as Football Manager 2026lands on PC, Mac, consoles, mobile devices, and later, Nintendo Switch. This year’s entry represents the most transformative upgrade in the series’ history, introducing a host of long-requested features and technical overhauls.

For the first time ever, the game is built on Unity Engine, marking a significant leap forward in visual fidelity and performance. Matches now feel more lifelike and immersive, thanks to newly implemented volumetric animations and enhanced stadium detail that brings each pitch to life like never before.

Perhaps the most headline-grabbing addition is the full integration of women’s football. This long-anticipated feature brings both male and female leagues into a unified football universe, supported by the most comprehensive database Sports Interactive has ever created. A variety of licensed women’s tournaments are also expected to be revealed in the lead-up to launch.

Another major milestone for the franchise is the inclusion of the fully licensed Premier League. This adds an extra layer of realism, with authentic club crests, kits, and official branding enriching the experience for players managing within the English top flight.

FM26 also introduces a redesigned user interface that emphasizes player control and decision-making clarity. Whether you’re a first-time manager or a returning veteran, the new UI is built to be more intuitive and efficient across all aspects of management — from tactics and scouting to recruitment and media interactions.

The game will be available day one via Xbox Game Pass for both PC and Xbox, with Football Manager 2026 Consolecoming to Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5. Meanwhile, Football Manager 2026 Touch returns to Nintendo Switch on December 4, continuing its more accessible, on-the-go management experience for an eighth season.

On mobile, Football Manager 2026 Mobile will launch exclusively on Netflix, bringing a retro-inspired look blended with new tailored features. This mobile edition is the only version in the FM26 lineup that doesn’t shift to the Unity engine but will for the first time support save game transfers from FM24 Mobile.

Despite the move to a brand-new engine, FM26, FM26 Console, and FM26 Touch will support save game compatibility from FM24 and FM23, making the transition easier for long-time players.

Players who pre-order the game on PC or Mac through SEGA-approved digital retailers will receive 10% off and early access via Advanced Access, expected to begin roughly two weeks before the full release. Careers started during this period will carry over into the full version.

More details about supported platforms, licensed leagues, and new gameplay mechanics are expected in the coming weeks as the release draws closer.
