The June month’s Nintendo Direct featured some really exciting announcements, but the biggest highlight for many of us was undoubtedly the new 2D Mario game, Super Mario Bros Wonder. It seems like the Japanese giant has great confidence in this adventure, as they’re not afraid to launch it right in the middle of the packed October. Today’s Direct helped us understand why.

The 15-minute presentation, which you can watch below, showcases and explains essentially everything you need to know about Super Mario Bros Wonder. This includes the seven different worlds we’ll get to explore, the twelve characters we can play as, and how some of them will make the platforming adventure easier. It introduces three interesting new power-ups, explains how you can play with and assist others both locally and online, and delves into some of the crazy things that will happen when you pick up a Wonder Flower. Additionally, there are various ways to customize your skills and much more.

Finally, Nintendo confirmed that a red Mario-themed Nintendo Switch OLED will be released on October 6th.
