Since day one, Amazon Game Studio’s new game New World have fought overcrowded servers and bugs, which has led to long queues (that some players have announced have been as long as 212 hours). Within the first 24 hours after the release on September 28, as many as 700,000 players tried to log in at the same time, so it might not be all that strange.

But the constant long queues have persisted, which now means that their servers are overcrowded and the game developers have had to make a drastic decision not to let anyone create new characters on many servers that they have marked as full.

According to Amazon Game Studios, this is only a temporary solution until players start spreading out on different servers. In addition to this solution, they have started a web page where you can easily go in and see how many people are on the various servers in New World.
