Just a week ago, Blizzard announced that they are developing a completely new game series, which will be some form of survival game with a fantasy theme, which will be released for PC and console.

Project lead Craig Amai writes on Twitter about the game, complete with a link to Blizzard’s announcement of the new project:

“Once upon a time this dream project was humble pitch deck on my desktop. Now it’s a team full of caring and passionate people sharing a vision I could not be prouder to be part of.”

If we look at his LinkedIn profile, we find out that he has been working on this as yet unnamed game since July 2017. This means that it has been under development in some form for almost five years already.
