Mattel has announced a 1:1 scale buildable display model of the original Microsoft Xbox console under its Mattel Brick Shop brand to mark the gaming platform's 25th anniversary.

The 3,509-piece set reproduces the original console alongside its classic controller, known as "The Duke". According to the company, the set is available for presale at select global retailers, including Amazon, Best Buy, and Mattel Creations.

Interactive features and game scenes

The interior of the console model contains three modular scenes inspired by original Xbox games: Halo: Combat Evolved, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, and Psychonauts. Mattel states that these modules can be removed and displayed individually, and the set includes 12 NanoWorld figures to populate the scenes.

Pressing the buttons on the buildable controller activates illuminated lighting effects accompanied by audio from the corresponding in-game soundtracks. The press material also notes that a hidden button combination triggers an exclusive lighting sequence.
